Valentines Day Looks!

With Valentines Day right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about what you’re going to wear, regardless of your plans! For Valentines Day, we love warm shades of pink and red, so here are a few outfits and accessories that are perfect for a night on the town with your friends or a romantic dinner.

Perfect for a daytime date, we love pairing this printedkimono over a delicate, lacey dress for a whimsical and romantic look. The hints of pink in the kimono are a nod to Valentines Day, while the detailing in the dress creates a soft, light look. This outfit is great for a date in the park or out on the town as it’s so dainty and feminine, plus both pieces can be worn long after Valentines Day!

If you’re a big Valentines Day fan, this next look is for you! This beautiful hot pink dress is perfect for a hot date or drinks with your gal pals! This intensely pigmented dress is flattering on all skin tones, and the cut of the dress is universally flattering! The flowy shirt balances the fitted skirt, making this outfit one of our favorites for Valentines Day! Pair this look with a dainty necklace, or this long crystal necklace, and nude heels and you’re good to go!

For a fun bit of tassel, our Buddha necklaces add the perfect bit of fun color into an outfit! We love natural stones, making our gemstone necklace and rose quartz earrings two of our favorites! For a little glam, try our red beaded earrings or sparkle drop earrings! With these accessories, you’re bound to find the perfect finishing touches for your Valentines Day look!

Invest in Vests

What's better than clothing that can be worn with a variety of pieces that can be carried over through the seasons? Nothing, if you ask us! That's why we love vests! Vests are perfect for layering over a t-shirt in the beginning of fall, and they transition great as it cools down as you can easily throw them over a sweater or coat! We love how popular vests are this season and can't stop expanding our vest wardrobe, so here are a few of our favorites!

This classic combination tops our list of favorite fall-time outfits! The simply chic denim shirt paired with a dainty and feminine burnt orange bralette and shearling leather vest creates the perfect balance. Throw these pieces on with leggings or dark jeans and any length boot or bootie for a quintessential  fall outfit! 

If you're a dress lover like we are, you're probably thinking of ways to continue wearing your favorite dresses without succumbing to frostbite. We also are trying to think of ways to continue to show our school spirit because who doesn't love burnt orange and white! We opted to throw this suede jacket over a white game-day dress with high socks or tights and boots to keep our spirit going while keeping us warm! Plus, the gem necklace adds a little extra shine, don't you think?!

Is there anything more warm and cozy than a plush warm vest? We definitely don't think so! We love throwing on a fluffy vest over a silky, chiffon piece to balance the outfit and surround ourself in comfortable textures! The combination of the deep burnt orange with the chocolate brown is easily accessorized with gold, white, or tan and screams fall to us!

Knits and fur define colder weather months style to us, so in efforts to stretch our closet a little more, we paired this knit-fur hybrid vest with a thin long sleeve dress! By accenting the grey in the dress with the grey in the vest, this outfit looks cohesive without being too matchy! To dress this look up, throw on some cowboy boots or heels and a little bling and you're good to go!

This bohemian inspired dress is perfect for fall on it's own, but is extra cozy with our fur and knit vest! The light brown ties in great with the intricate detailing of the dress creating a cohesive look! To add a little sparkle, we paired this outfit with our gold Texas necklace, but our Dursy necklace looks great and dainty with it as well!  All you need is boots or booties and you're looking boho chic!

Holiday Sparkle: Outfit Ideas!

Here at Longhorn Fashions we think sequins are (almost) always appropriate, especially during the holidays! During the festive season, you can bet that we're adding a little sparkle to all of our outfits, primarily our formal dresses! If you love to sparkle and have a sorority formal, holiday dinner, or seasonal party today's post is for you!

Our first outfit is the perfect holiday combo! We love the seasonal red mixed with crisp white and sparkling gold! The texture in the skirt adds a fun element that we can't get enough of! To tie in the gold of the skirt, we threw on our go-to gold Texas necklace! Throw on a cardigan, tights, and boots or heels and you're ready to go!

Another one of our favorite outfits! We love this tiered, flowy top paired with our gold sequin skirt. Tie in the gold and white with our gold-lined stone necklace and you're ready to celebrate! 

 This black and gold dress is perfect for your sorority formal! The cutouts are flirty and fun while the sparkles are perfect for the holidays! Paired with black heels, this flattering dress is sure to grab everyone's attention! Are you seeing a pattern with our love for gold sequins this season?!

This monochromatic combination is edgy and chic! We love the subtle textured pattern in the skirt with the sequins; it keeps the outfit interesting and stylish! Throw a blazer over this outfit and slip on some heels and you're ready for your office holiday party! 

 Ring in the new season sparkling and trendy! This champagne colored shift is perfect for New Years Eve! Throw on some nude heels and you're sure to look polished and fun; a win-win in our book!
