Invest in Vests

What's better than clothing that can be worn with a variety of pieces that can be carried over through the seasons? Nothing, if you ask us! That's why we love vests! Vests are perfect for layering over a t-shirt in the beginning of fall, and they transition great as it cools down as you can easily throw them over a sweater or coat! We love how popular vests are this season and can't stop expanding our vest wardrobe, so here are a few of our favorites!

This classic combination tops our list of favorite fall-time outfits! The simply chic denim shirt paired with a dainty and feminine burnt orange bralette and shearling leather vest creates the perfect balance. Throw these pieces on with leggings or dark jeans and any length boot or bootie for a quintessential  fall outfit! 

If you're a dress lover like we are, you're probably thinking of ways to continue wearing your favorite dresses without succumbing to frostbite. We also are trying to think of ways to continue to show our school spirit because who doesn't love burnt orange and white! We opted to throw this suede jacket over a white game-day dress with high socks or tights and boots to keep our spirit going while keeping us warm! Plus, the gem necklace adds a little extra shine, don't you think?!

Is there anything more warm and cozy than a plush warm vest? We definitely don't think so! We love throwing on a fluffy vest over a silky, chiffon piece to balance the outfit and surround ourself in comfortable textures! The combination of the deep burnt orange with the chocolate brown is easily accessorized with gold, white, or tan and screams fall to us!

Knits and fur define colder weather months style to us, so in efforts to stretch our closet a little more, we paired this knit-fur hybrid vest with a thin long sleeve dress! By accenting the grey in the dress with the grey in the vest, this outfit looks cohesive without being too matchy! To dress this look up, throw on some cowboy boots or heels and a little bling and you're good to go!

This bohemian inspired dress is perfect for fall on it's own, but is extra cozy with our fur and knit vest! The light brown ties in great with the intricate detailing of the dress creating a cohesive look! To add a little sparkle, we paired this outfit with our gold Texas necklace, but our Dursy necklace looks great and dainty with it as well!  All you need is boots or booties and you're looking boho chic!

Sweater Weather Recommendations

There's something about October that makes us want to throw on a sweater and cuddle up with a warm drink. Despite it still being warm in Texas, we're putting together our favorite sweater-weather combos for you to enjoy! 

Our first option is a little more warm-weather appropriate than your typical chunky knit sweater! We paired our go-to burnt orange camisole with our cream, open front sweater. The fringe detailing makes this sweater fun and playful while the open knit keeps you cool while it's still warm. This tassel necklace ties in the fringe of the sweater perfectly! We'd pair this adorable combination with dark skinny jeans and brown boots or booties!

Once it gets a little cooler outside, you can bet we'll be wearing this adorable grey sweater with leggings and boots! The sparkle in this necklace adds a little glam to this super cozy pairing! Plus, you can pair this sweater with a little burnt orange tank to tie in a little school pride all winter long!

Incase you want another excuse to wear burnt orange, in addition to game day, this combination is for you! Pair our simple tank top with this warm Aztec sweater, jeans or leggings, and our gold beaded gem necklace for a cozy and cute combination.

Unfortunately we can't wear burnt orange for every occasion, so for those days we have more adorable sweaters for you to rock! We love the pops of color in this grey sweater as it's the perfect way to keep your cool days bright. Pair this super soft piece with dark jeans and a neutral colored top to keep this combination playful and cohesive!

Cool and casual, that's how we'd describe our next combination! The cool blue and grey tones make us ready to snuggle up in this cozy piece! We paired this sweater with one of our favorite white shirts and our essential golden Texas necklace! 

This fresh combination of orange and periwinkle is a new favorite of ours! The pops of color with the tribal print make this combination youthful and fun! To finish off this outfit, pair it with either leggings or jeans, simple jewelry, and knee-high boots!

We can't get enough of this turquoise and coral color combination! The bright accents remind us of warmer months, while the charcoal base keeps it neutral overall. To add a little humor and playfulness to this outfit, we threw on our extremely comfortable Texas t-shirt and Texas necklace! To keep this outfit cohesive and comfy, we'd pair this combination with leggings and boots!

Blues Curing Dresses!

Between Austin City Limits and Texas/OU weekend ending, we've got the blues. Luckily, we've got the perfect blue dresses to lift our moods; hey, a little retail therapy never hurt, right?

Our first blues-curing dress is this adorable blue and white floral print piece! This dress has an amazing, flattering fit with its high waist and V neckline! To further accentuate the waist of this dress, and to add a little color, we threw on our twisted leather belt. For jewelry, we added our gold-trimmed, natural stone necklace! We think this dress looks darling with ankle booties or wedges! 

Our next dress is this beautiful teal shift! The color is so bright and up lifting that it is sure to cure your blues! The scallop hem and back detailing adds a little playfulness to the dress while keeping it polished! This is a great piece to stretch your closet as it can be worn with sandals or wedges in the warmer weather, or paired with boots and a cardigan on cooler days! 

This leaf print dress is one of our favorite dresses, it's fun and flirty plus it's super comfortable! We can't get enough of the underarm details and the open back, not to mention that the dress is extremely soft! This dress is another great transition piece: it looks adorable with a jean jacket and boots or by itself with sandals. To accessorize we love pairing this dress with our multiple stone necklace or our classic golden Texas necklace.

    

If your blues needs a little dressing up, our next dress is the perfect go-to! This dress is polished while still being fun and playful making it perfect for dinner out with family or your next semi-formal! This dress is a great day-to-night dress: pair it with a blazer and flats for work, then ditch the blazer and throw on some heels to make this nighttime ready!

Our final blues-curing dress is this adorable boho-chic tiered dress. This dress is one of our go-to items for running errands or meeting up with our friends for lunch as it's so easy to throw on and go! The open back makes this dress fun and playful, without being too revealing and the tiers give the dress movement! We paired it with our dainty golden Texas necklace to show a little hometown pride and keep the outfit simple! Pair this dress with sandals or wedges and you're ready to go!
